Wallsburg

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This run begins in the center of Wallsburg, goes through rolling hills towards Deer Creek Reservoir, follows the busy highway towards Provo, turns to trail at the dam, goes on the Heber Creeper railroad tracks, picks up the Provo River Trail, and finishes at the mouth of Provo Canyon. DISTANCE: 16.75 miles.

CAUTION: Fast, heavy traffic along single lane highways with narrow shoulders.


Landmarks

Start this run at the Convenience Store in Wallsburg
Proceed through Wallsburg towards Deer Creek Reservoir
Through the rolling hills

Turn left towards Provo
The long and winding road
This part of the run is distinguished by long rolling hills with "lots" of fast moving traffic

At the dam, depart from the main highway and run through the parking lot and down the old gravel road on the south side of the Provo River
This is the gravel road near the parking lot. Remember, along this route until you reach the Provo River Trail - ALWAYS stay on the south side of the Provo River

As soon as you cross this old auto bridge turn left and cross the railroad bridge
